Do you repair fences in New Canaan that you didn't install?

Yes — most of our New England restoration work is on inherited or aging fences from other contractors who are no longer around.

How do I know if my fence can be restored or needs replacement?

We do a free assessment as part of the consultation. As a rule of thumb, if the posts are still sound and only mesh, hardware, or tension is failing, restoration is the right call.

Will insurance cover storm-damaged fence repair?

Often yes — especially if a tree fell on the fence. We provide written documentation suitable for New Canaan-area insurance claims as part of the assessment.

How long does a New Canaan-area restoration take?

Most projects are 1–3 days on site, depending on perimeter length and scope of damage.

Fence Restoration designed for New Canaan

New Canaan properties combine mid-century modern architecture with wooded lots that see heavy deer traffic. Our low-visual-impact fencing keeps the sightlines clean while actually containing dogs and excluding deer from ornamental beds.

Planning your enclosure

Inspect posts, mesh, tension and gate hardware separately. The condition of the supporting structure helps determine whether repair or replacement is appropriate.

Regional planning guidance for Fairfield County; the layout and conditions of your own property still need review.

Lot & terrain profile

Two- and three-acre wooded parcels with rolling ledge, most requiring careful post-setting around tree roots and boulders.

Deer pressure

Very high

Drives mesh height, ground-line detailing, and gate design for every New Canaan project.

Local notes

Iconic modernist homes
Tick-heavy deer pressure

Permits & HOA: Fence height, setbacks and approval requirements vary by municipality and property. Check with your local authority and HOA before installation. Obtaining permits and submitting HOA paperwork are the homeowner's responsibility; specification sheets and renderings are available on request for your application.
