A deterrent asks the animal to decide against your garden. Exclusion removes the decision. Everything about the design — height, mesh, tension, and how the line meets the ground — exists to make the easy route somewhere other than your property.
Deer fencing is built substantially taller than a typical yard fence, because deer clear ordinary heights without much effort. We recommend a height for your property based on the pressure you're seeing and the terrain, rather than applying one number everywhere.
Dark, fine mesh on slim uprights has very little visual mass. Against woods or a hedgerow it largely disappears at distance; across open lawn you read the posts more than the fence. You keep the sight lines you bought the property for.
Ground is rarely flat where deer are a problem. We run the line along the contour and close the gaps that slopes and dips create at the base — the places deer find first when a fence is installed as if the ground were level.
A slack fence becomes a gap. We set corners, ends and pull points so the mesh stays under proper tension across the run, and we plan the perimeter around access points, driveways and gates instead of forcing a rectangle onto the property.
