Cape Cod's outer towns — Chatham, Wellfleet, Brewster, Orleans, Truro, Eastham — combine serious deer browsing with sandy soil, salt air, and the kind of garden investment that defines a Cape summer house. Our nearly invisible fence systems are engineered specifically for these coastal conditions.

Local wildlife
Cape Cod deer pressure is intense year-round, particularly outside the peak summer season. Our deer fences are sized to keep gardens whole through fall and winter.
Lots & terrain
Properties range from compact village lots to multi-acre wooded parcels. We engineer post depth and bracing for sandy Cape soils.
Sized for Cape Cod deer pressure
We size our deer fences to the actual local deer behavior — herd size, jump pressure, and seasonal browsing patterns specific to the Cape Cod region.
Nearly invisible from the road
Black polypropylene mesh disappears against a wooded backdrop — protects your gardens without turning your yard into a compound.
Protects 6-figure landscape investments
Mature ornamentals, vegetable gardens, fruit trees — one season of deer browsing can erase years of work in Cape Cod yards.
Built for regional climate
Galvanized hardware and freeze-thaw-rated tensioners hold up through decades of Cape Cod-area weather.
The Cape Cod reality
Deer pressure across Cape Cod, MA has gone fully out of balance over the last two decades. Suburban herd density now exceeds rural density in much of New England, and the predator population that used to keep them in check is gone. The result is yards that get browsed nightly — hostas, hydrangeas, arborvitae, vegetable beds, fruit trees — and a ring of failed interventions: spray rotations, motion sprinklers, deer-resistant plant lists, six-foot fences with lattice extensions. None of it works for more than a season.
A 7.5–8 ft deer fence is the only intervention with a 100% success rate, and it's the only one MA landscape designers actually trust on six-figure installs. Ours is black polypropylene mesh tensioned against a galvanized cable system, engineered for New England snow load and freeze-thaw. From 15+ feet against a wooded backdrop the fence visually disappears. We follow your existing tree line and route around stone walls and conservation features — the result is a permanent solution that lets you actually enjoy the landscape you've paid to install.

What to expect on the logistics side of a Cape Cod-area install.
Most Northeast towns regulate fence height and require a simple zoning permit for anything over 6 ft. HOAs in upscale suburbs often require ARB review. Pulling permits and securing HOA approval is the homeowner's responsibility — we'll provide spec sheets and renderings on request to support your application, and our low-visual-impact systems are generally well received.
We install year-round in the Northeast, including through winter. Spring and fall book up first; winter installs (Dec–Feb) often have the shortest lead times and the same warranty.
The four most common reasons Cape Cod-area homeowners end up replacing a fence twice.
Going to 6 ft and hoping
A healthy whitetail clears 6 ft cold. We see this install constantly across New England — a year later the homeowner calls us to redo it at the right height.
Choosing welded wire to save money
Welded wire works mechanically but turns the property into something that looks like a kennel. Black mesh is the reason high-end New England installs disappear visually.
Skipping the cable system
Mesh tensioned only post-to-post sags within a year under New England snow load. The galvanized cable system is what holds shape through 30 winters.
Routing through the woods instead of around
Cutting a corridor through mature trees damages the property and makes the fence visible. Following the existing tree line keeps it invisible.
