From SouthPark and Myers Park to Ballantyne, Waxhaw, and the lake communities, Greater Charlotte has a wide range of properties — and a wide range of fencing needs. Our nearly invisible systems work for compact yards and sprawling lake-house lots alike.

Local wildlife
Suburban Mecklenburg and Union counties see growing deer and coyote pressure, especially in the wooded developments south of the city.
Lots & terrain
From quarter-acre lots in established neighborhoods to multi-acre lake properties, we right-size every install.
Sized for Charlotte deer pressure
We size our deer fences to the actual local deer behavior — herd size, jump pressure, and seasonal browsing patterns specific to the Charlotte region.
Nearly invisible from the road
Black polypropylene mesh disappears against a wooded backdrop — protects your gardens without turning your yard into a compound.
Protects 6-figure landscape investments
Mature ornamentals, vegetable gardens, fruit trees — one season of deer browsing can erase years of work in Charlotte yards.
Built for regional climate
Galvanized hardware and freeze-thaw-rated tensioners hold up through decades of Charlotte-area weather.
The Charlotte reality
Deer pressure across Charlotte, NC is climbing fast as suburban development pushes further into the Piedmont and the foothills. Mecklenburg, Wake, Buncombe, and Greenville all have well-established suburban deer populations with no predators. Browsing is heaviest in fall and winter when natural food gets thin — and that's exactly when ornamentals, holly, and fruit trees take the most damage. Most Carolina homeowners have tried sprays, granular repellents, and "deer-resistant" plant lists; almost all of them eventually call us when the damage compounds.
A 7.5–8 ft black polypropylene mesh deer fence is the only intervention that actually holds. The system is tensioned against galvanized cable and engineered for southern UV exposure, humidity, and Piedmont clay. Posts are set deep enough to ignore the saturation cycle. The mesh disappears at distance against trees and shrubs, which preserves the look of Carolina suburbs where the landscape is the asset. We follow your tree line and route around mature plantings — no clear-cutting, no industrial-looking compound.

What to expect on the logistics side of a Charlotte-area install.
Most Southeast municipalities have simpler fence codes than the Northeast — fewer height restrictions and fewer required permits at residential scale. HOA approval is the more common gate, and securing it is the homeowner's responsibility. We'll provide spec sheets and renderings on request, and our designs are typically well received without modification.
We install year-round in the Southeast. Summer heat is the biggest scheduling factor — early-morning installs are standard from June through August. Winter installs are easy and fast.
The four most common reasons Charlotte-area homeowners end up replacing a fence twice.
UV-vulnerable mesh
Generic mesh fails in 2-3 Carolina summers. UV-stabilized black mesh is a different product entirely — and the only one we'll install in the South.
Setting posts shallow in saturated clay
Piedmont clay holds water for weeks. Shallow posts lean within two seasons. We set deep enough to ignore the saturation cycle.
Going to 6 ft on a wooded lot
Carolina deer clear 6 ft easily, especially when browsing pressure is high. 7.5–8 ft is the working minimum.
Trying to DIY the cable tension
Under-tensioned cable lets the mesh sag. Over-tensioned cable tears the post connections. The system has to be engineered, not improvised.
